Above, a 1950s British army battle dress tunic. It differs from the World War 2 version in the design of the pockets and the black buckle at the waist. If you're a pedant like me then you'll notice this style of tunic often appearing in films set during the war, even though it wasn't introduced until the late 40s (I think). Below is a post-war jerkin, similar to the wartime design, but of a much darker colour.
