German propaganda leaflets
Here you see 2 leaflets dropped on British soldiers by German aircraft. The leaflets appear to be dated from 1945 - it amazes me that the Germans were still dropping leaflets like these right at the end of the war.
In the leaflet above the 'British soldier' has a World War 1 style chin strap on his helmet - indicating that this is most likely a photo posed by the Germans.
The boots of the wounded 'British soldier' (left) are laced in the 'criss-cross' favoured by the Wehrmacht, not the 'straight laced' style adopted by the British army during World War 2 - again a tell-tale sign that the photo was posed by the Germans. (I am told that the British 'straight laces' were easier to cut through if the boot had to be removed in a hurry eg. for a medic to treat a wound).
